Good Practice 12

Context of practice
Type of context: face-to-face, online or blended learning.
Type of teaching: Master’s degree
Year: First year

Problem and objectives
Taking into account the field trip to the Valladolid Science Museum, we decided to photograph and date a representative theme that stood out visually and conceptually from the rest.

Tools and resources
Google Slides

Description of practice
Using the Google Slides tool, they are given a mold slide (Figure 1) to fill in and send through Studium in a specific course created for the subject of Resources in the specialty of Biology and Geology.

Expected results
The results we expect is that the student shows in the slide the knowledge generated and the usefulness of the resource created for its implementation in a Secondary Education classroom. With the resource we are looking for the student’s skills in using Google Slides as a resource for him or herself and for the students to whom it is addressed.

Strengths or advantages
Visualisation of the work generated by the student. Visualisation of the progressive work in real time. Display of all the resources generated by all the students in the same presentation. Visualisation of all the resources by all the students with positive criticism

Risks or weaknesses
The elimination of slides generated by a student due to error or omission.  The characteristics of the students in the classroom are future teachers of Secondary Education and Baccalaureate, so they must acquire the acquired digital competence.  This is a task for them, albeit a simple one

Need for support
The Google Workspace and Studium (Moodle) environment is required for support.

Others:
With regard to cybersecurity inside the classroom, the environment, inside and outside the USAL, to carry out this activity, would be secure. I can think of NO possible incidences of external attacks.
