As part of the Cyberskills initiative, students from Ørestad Gymnasium recently visited the Municipality of Copenhagen’s IT Security and Data Privacy Department to gain insights into how they safeguard citizens’ data.
Cyberskills (cyberskills.dk), based in Denmark, is dedicated to raising awareness among young people about the importance of IT security and data privacy. One of their key strategies is organizing visits to companies and organizations that work in the field of data protection and cybersecurity.
In recent months, students from Ørestad Gymnasium have visited:
- Dacco – an IT security company
- Copenhagen Airport
- The National Agency for Health Data Protection
- The Municipality of Copenhagen
These visits provide students with a unique opportunity to see firsthand how professionals manage IT security and data privacy. This hands-on experience is vital in inspiring the next generation to pursue careers in this crucial sector, helping to shape a future where data protection is at the forefront of society.
